during Remote Control Sessions:

New Application Selection Feature

NTR’s Live Support System NTRsupport has a new integrated Application Selection feature. While in a support session and using the Application Selection the operator or the customer – depending on the type of remote control setting – can select from a list of running applications, which application window(s) are to be shown and which ones are to be hidden. Once a remote control session is started, NTRsupport hides the remote computer's screen until the operator or customer has chosen which of the running applications they want to share.

This decision can be made by simply clicking the appropriate checkboxes inside the new Application Selection window. While the windows of the checked applications will directly appear in the remote control screen, the applications not checked will be hidden during the remote control session. However, it is still possible during a session to change the Application Selection configuration, i.e. to add and remove application windows that are to be shared. Furthermore, it is also possible to decide as to whether a user’s desktop and taskbar are shown or not.

Application Selection Benefits:
Permits remote access only to previously chosen applications.
Protects a customer’s/operator’s privacy by preventing the remote counterpart from viewing their desktop.
Creates a higher level of security to corporate networks.

The new Application Selection feature is available for all the different remote control settings such as Observation, Total Control, Demonstration, and Desktop Sharing.
